Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion
Preparation for First Holy Communion is a two-year process. Before registering for Sacramental Preparation, children must first complete one year of faith formation by attending either our Family Faith Formation program or the CGS program. Children currently attending a Catholic school are not required to complete the first year of formation.
During the second year, children begin their preparation for First Holy Communion, also known as Sacramental Preparation. This program runs from October through May and meets twice a month. We offer two convenient schedules: Saturdays from 3:15–4:45 p.m. or Tuesdays from 6:30–8:00 p.m. for families who prefer a weekday evening option. Children must be in second grade or be 7 years old by September 1. At least one parent is required to attend all classes with their child.
